Bestbar is a leading Australian steel reinforcement Steel supplier and one of Australia Largest building and construction companies. Best Bar was expanding and was in the planning stage in early 2022 to move to a new premises which they were going to build. I approached them in late 2021 and met Mr. Yoong who was the leading Project Manager .
They acquired the land in mid-2021 and were scheduled to commence construction in early 2022. Currently, they had a VOC 55 Champion compressor which was being serviced by Kaeser Compressors. Kaeser was already approached to do some preliminary assessment on their current air demand and did an air measurement for them. Having known Yoong for some years he provided me this air measurement report.
Had a further discussion with Yoong in which he provided the factory layout of the machine going to be located in this new factory. He also advises on the new machines being added and total flow requirements. We then worked on a solution that would fit the cycle of flow of air demand which varies in the day from 90 to 350 cfm. As he wanted to maintain their old VOC 55 as a backup and due to the limited space in the room they are building, he advised the need to have only one compressor in addition to the current unit VOC 55.
We then worked on a proposal for an SCR 75 EPM, a dryer WD 140 with 2000 ltrs, and WAF 220 C AO and WAF 220 C AA filter. The key distinct difference in the proposal is, that it will meet current air demand but will have reserve capacity for any future air demand. A comprehensive after-market service offering, in which we included servicing the compressor system for 12 months as part of the package -no additional cost to the customer. Gave him an ongoing service and maintenance cost for the next 5 years and given parts pricing were competitive and an assurance that it is available at our operation in Bibra Lakes.
